Vintage Lacquer Painting - Vietnamese? Empty Vintage Lacquer Painting - Vietnamese?

Just today I acquired this charming little lacquer on wood painting. it has a distinctive modernist look and the natural wear to the surface as well as the period framing suggests ca 1970. As noted it is quite small - the painting itself measuring just over 6" square. My instinct is that it is of Vietnamese origin but can't decypher the writing/signature. Heavy use of gilt-I'll probably seek a more topic specific forum for more information but thought some viewer might have a suggestion. Thanks.

Best to try the Collecting Japanese Ceramics and Arts group on Facebook as they have members who may be able to read the kanji characters
