UNKNOWN TWIN GROTESQUE FISH VASES ?
would anyone know what I have found , these came out from welsh house clearance , we have never seen anything like this before and are quite stumped on who would  have made these . nothing marked on base or anywhere that I can see , hope someone can help with this . many thanks,  Dave

Grotesque implies Victorian, and they look exactly that. Staffordshire Victorian vases. Googling 'Grotesque Victorian Fish vases' gets several images of not dissimilar style. Not exactly flavour of the month nowadays unfortunately

If you're interested in selling them you could send pics to Woolley and Wallis auctioneers in Salisbury. They often sell weird and wonderful ceramics so might have some ideas who made them.

Victorian spill vases, maybe. But not a form I’ve come across before. I’m sure all the well known factories would have marked them, so you may be looking at a small family pottery on the Continent.
