Funny, the smile looks slightly different in each picture.
Nice item. Pity about the damage. There was a substantial sale of Martin Bros pieces at wooley and Wallis in Salisbury last November 2019. In this link similar pieces to yours are a short way down. They are slightly earlier than yours tho.

Hi philpot
Thanks for your comments and the link to Wallis,I will have a look, The damage is very minor and I have managed to repair it quiet well,The smiles are different as there is a face on each side of the jug.
There was a fantastic large one sold here in Australia I think dated 1910 that sold for $8.500.00 +premium ,last year, I will see if I can find an image of it.

Re: Martin brothers (London).
Talking about fat wallets, the person who purchased this jug in Australia about I year ago ,Had a fat wallet that is now skinny after paying some where over $10.000 for this jug ,I have manged to find an image of it on my phone that I took prior the auction,It was a huge jug not quiet twice as big as mine.
I would not be surprised if it went back to England,Although there are a few American millionaires that seem to by every martin bros piece that comes up (maybe they bought it) speaking of fat wallets.
I have also added images of my touched up jug.
