Help needed to ID this sculpture

I've tried quite a few sites but haven't found anything remotely similar. All I know is it could be Tasmanian? and from the 1970's, I only have a photo, and no mark.Thanks.

the face looks like the Green Man

Curious to know where it is, if you only have the one photo?

have no idea what sort of glaze, I'll keep on searching, looks kind of Japanese, maybe too ornate (? ) for a kiln god
