It could be, but I doubt the mark denotes that.

Always helps to have a photo of the back, just to check construction even if there’s no mark.
Doesn’t strike me as Scandinavian. Looks more like a Mediterranean or Central American piece

I understand why you say Central America, I have seen some pieces with similar decoration from such regions, but I do think this was made a little closer to home.
I would not trust a suitcase in the hold and it is too big for hand luggage, over 17 inches. Postage would also be expensive, how it got here I do not know.
I have a similar scenario with something else I picked up last year from the boot sale. The seller picked it up from a house clearance & could tell me nothing, I think it is a tourist piece, but would have been a challenge to get it home unscathed. I'll stop there & pop it on another page, someone may recognise it.

could easily be french same clay as Capron and co use for their tiles in vallauris
