PLEASE HELP - ART SCULPTURE IDENTIFICATION
Hi everyone!
I recently purchased this piece at an estate sale and have been unsuccessful identifying the signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The piece was purchased at the estate of a Judaica collector, so the artist is possible from Israel. The sculpture weighs 1 LB 9.4 OZ and measures 6 3/4 Inches X 6 Inches X 2 3/4 Inches. Any / all insight is welcome! Please help!
Thank you!
Frank

Re: ART SCULPTURE IDENTIFICATION!
Bear in mind, that this a British site, so our knowledge of out-of-the blue Estate sale American items in not great!
As a collector, purely a personal opinionThe bottom looks like Raku work. Which is a form of lower temperature firing often done in sawdust. It is not used by many important potters because it does have limitations. It looks slab built and assembled, and done slightly crudely. Vaguely looks 60's/70's. The only real redeeming feature which raises it out of the ordinary is that piece of blue stone which is beautiful.

Re: ART SCULPTURE IDENTIFICATION!
I’ve merged your two posts in ID My Pottery as I wasn’t sure if you’d rephotographed the piece, and our other pottery forums are for identified pots only so I’ve deleted the duplicates. Our members only look on ID My Pottery for ID request posts.
