Hi all.
I'm not certain what you call this type of bowl, hence my 'pedestal' description.
Can anyone please identify the rather basic potter's mark? I am not certain whether the lines represent 'T', 'E' or 'H'.
Thank you.
Jack

This looks a lot like Helen Humphreys' mark, but it doesn't look like any of her work I've seen to date. Possible?

It doesn’t really look British to me. Maybe Dutch or Japanese?

Thank you for the suggestion Naomi: I don't have any Dutch reference books and the Japanese ones I have are for antique items. I'll browse the net to see if I can spot similar shapes.

Looks like satsuma pottery, with that style of crackle glaze over earthenware. Also Kyoto ware and Banko ware. And the mark could be a Japanese character. But there are elements of the style of decoration and the shape  that look Dutch.
Maybe try the Gotheborg.com website of 20thCentury Japanese Ceramics Marks
