Stoneware bowl - Wendy Thompson
Stoneware bowl, glazed only to the interior. The mark looks like LJ.
When I first saw this I was certain it was a piece by David Lloyd Jones, but the mark (whilst looking a little like his LJ mark) is not his. It has been looked at by the daughter of David L.J. , who confirmed this.
Anyone out there able to shock me with the potter's identity?
Many thanks.

Looks like it could be WJ or JW, Wendy Johnson? Though this is stoneware.

Thanks Denby. It seems blindingly obvious now you mention W. Not sure how I've missed that 🙄

Agreed, I think it’s Wendy Thompson, and I’ve had a large stoneware storage jar with the same mark, but it doesn’t have her dot and it’s a different clay.
This is her verified mark -

Hmmm Thompson or Johnson?
The Line on top of the J/T is not quite right either, but it was the nearest match.

Thompson - it’s the mark in the 3rd edition of the Marks book, but for some reason they don’t have her WT. version of her mark that’s on all the pots with labels
