Just a piece for your perusal . The nursemaid from Alice Through the Looking Glass , signed Nan Knowles on the base. I think she also made nursery rhyme characters.

There is only one reference online, to three other nursery figures that she made, which came up for auction in 2016. Nice work, but I suspect she was a hobby potter who just made the one set
