This is an earthenware candle holder (for quite narrow candles!) ... if it IS a candle holder?

If it is not a candle holder - can anyone tell me what it is? Shrugs

There appears to be a mark to the side near the base but this is indistinguishable. Shock

It is just under 4"/10cm high. Widest diameter: just over 3"/8cm.

A long shot, but based on the shape and position of the mark it might be by Elizabeth Bailey, but I don’t know if it’s her style of pottery
