Welz glass
This is a lovely thing with age-related chips and scratches to the base. It looks like it should be ceramic until you pick it up.
Where would it have originated, do you think?
I've just noticed that it has tiny air bubbles at the intersection of each line of colours. Obviously to do with the manufacturing process
but, what?

Re: Welz glass
Looks like a Welz piece. Bohemian 1910-1920ish. Nice piece.

Please help ID my glass item - Welz
Hi,
Please can anyone help with this piece of glass?
It’s pink with white stripe. Hand made.
I believe it’s Victorian. I have had a Google & found something similar that was named as Harrach. I don’t know anything about glass I’m afraid!
Thank you very much

Help to ID my glass - Welz
Hi,
I have recently acquired these glass pieces. I think they are candle holders. I believe they are Victorian. The handles are thorn glass , if that’s the correct description! Any info regarding them would be great. Many thanks

No. I don’t have a UV light! Why would I need to shine under UV light please? Thanks for reply

Re: Welz glass
My first thought would be to check the Welz glass websites. This type of glass is known as spatter or splatter glass i think.

Re: Welz glass
It won't glow under UV light. Vaseline glass is uranium glass, which will glow bright green under UV, but it is usually yellow or green, not this sort of white
