Made In Cley
A crafts collective established in Cley-next- the-Sea, Norfolk, in 1984. The pottery is mostly stoneware in a rather restrained style. The members originally met in Germany, and two of the founding potters were German. An interview here with one of the other founders, Barbara Widdup:

Re: Made In Cley
I was up that way last year and it sells pleasant but to my mind, not terribly interesting studio pottery for use. However, there were people buying when I was there and its longevity does suggest that there is a market for such things, which is encouraging.

Re: Made In Cley
Situated in Cley Next the Sea. Such a wonderfully evocative town name. Very wealthy second home area for rich Londoners. A few miles from the market town of Holt where the famed A&J Young had a pottery shop for many years. Holt also home to the famed Bircham Gallery which has held important exhibitions of studio pottery for an equally long time.
Its a beautiful area.
