Re: Box/Lidded Bowl (not Takeshi Yasuda) - Help to identify maker please
The lidded bowl does have a Japanese influence, as you say, but, as it looked nothing like any of the work that I have seen by him since he moved to the UK, I wondered why you had made that suggestion.
However, having looked at the "Marks book" I now know why, as the mark on this has a passing similarity to one listed. Besides them not being quite the same, the Yasuda marks that I have seen on pots were impressed seal marks.
It is clearly not the same mark but because I am familiar with his work since the mid 1970s I feel confident in saying it is not by him.
It does show a lot of skill and looks a fine piece but I haven't seen that mark or a similar mark before.

Agreed, it is not Takeshi Yasuda. I've got a piece, and the mark is impressed, and quite small. Nothing like this one Moreover his early work with Sandy Brown in North Devon just does not the hace sort of high Japanese look that this one has. His later work only has a paper label on it

Maybe a CB or GB mark but not one I’ve come across before . Very accomplished. Reminds me of a Crowan or Frith pottery

Looking at that piece again. The glazes to have a strong David Frith look about them.
