Collection of Brown Vases with Drip like Decoration - Jasba
Good afternoon, I have come into possession of 6 vases inherited by a friend , who has asked if they could be identified. They are all of the same design but different shapes. The background colour is a chocolate brown with white and pale blue banding and pink , yellow and pale green "drips". The shapes and design look rather 1950s. They are slightly rough in touch. Reasonably heavy. Does anyone have any ideas or information please.

German/Austrian, but I'm sure someone will recognise that distinctive decoration.

The number led to Jasba.

Gosh, thank you all for such quick responses. So, from what you say, the origin definitely seems to be German. I have, since your posts, communicated that to the owner and he is completely surprised. As to the maker, the mark on the base is extraordinarily similar indeed to the very stylish Dumler and Bieden, a dead ringer really. Yet the actual number (armed now with a name too, thank you) has led to a Jasba fish mouth shape. Intriguing. (As an aside, I would also like to tell you that your combined help has led me to another realisation this afternoon. I have a little jumble of vases, inherited by ME from my aunt, on a shelf in the same room as I took the photos of my friend's collection for this forum. There is quite a distinctive one I had always assumed to be Victorian and assumed to have been handed down to my aunt, thence to me. But goodness gracious - I find in looking at various Jasba images just now that that one of mine is 1960s Jasba! That has come as a surprise to me!). Thank you very much for the info so far.
