Nicholas Hurle

Seeing this reminds me a bit of this one I have that have never had a clue where it came from what do you think? I always just assumed it was an amateurs attempt at an owl figure. Never really deciphered the signature.

In the Yates=Owen Marks book there is a similar signature for a Nicholas J Hurle of Pinner Middlesex, signature is incised and dated. Th style was
'domestic pieces with 'flow glaze' glazes melting at slightly different temperatures to give a running effect. Also children;s hand and foot impressions on porcelain plaques'

Agreed, Nicholas Hurle. I’ve come across his pieces too. Often brightly coloured. And some weird shapes
