Simplistic japanese vase. Tourist piece? Empty Simplistic japanese vase. Tourist piece?

Post by abstract toad July 28th 2019, 1:09 pm

A lovely little porcelain vase, very simplistic in its decoration, but effective, for me at least.
It does not feel old and I do not know whether this was made as a tourist piece or not. My gut says no, from what little I know, I imagine it to have been crafted for the Japanese market.
I have trawled the Gotheburg site, but cannot match up either of the signature marks.

Any ideas as to when this was made, the maker & for what market are appreciated.

Worth checking the Gotheborg website of Japanese Marks

Thanks Naomi, yes, I've had a look through there prior to posting, but cannot see anything that matches. Saying that, the mark is probably there somewhere and I will have just looked past it, knowing me Happy
