Square ink stamp or flag with a cross - Phyl Thomas Empty Printed pottery mark on small vase, Cornish flag mark?

Does anyone recognise this printed mark on the bottom of this vase please. It measures 4 inches in height.

Does anybody recognise this?  It looks like an ink stamp with some scratched away, not sure if there is supposed to be a dot in one square or if that is just a bit of a hole. Thanks in advance 👍🏻

I’ve seen the mark a few times but not IDed it. Someone suggested it was a flag

I have just seen a similar mark elsewhere and think this may be Phyl Thomas.
