Small, but heavy blue pot - unmarked
This is rather a nice pot which feels quite heavy for its size (9.5cm tall). I'm pretty sure its ceramic but I cannot see any obvious marks to identify its origins. My photograph doesn't show it very well, but the interior is completely dark purple in colour.
Does anybody recognise this maker please.
Thank you.
Jack.

It looks cold painted. Lakes and Dunster used the cold painted technique, but also Mexico and Thailand, amongst others. Without a mark I dont know.

Thank you Naomi.
For my education: what is it that you see which makes you suspect cold painted?

The colour and the white earthenware showing through spots on the base. They might just be stilt marks, but cold painted decoration can flake off

Great, thanks for that Naomi...I'll keep that in mind whilst perusing.
