Unusual stoneware old pot Empty Unusual stoneware old pot

Could anyone throw any light on this old pot quite naive in design but the pot is half glazed on the inside quite heavy no marks to underside. Approx 4”x 6”.

Does anyone have an idea if it is stoneware. Looks similar shape to Native American pottery.
