I popped this on some time ago, but was not looking to find out the thrower at that time. I am now trying to discover the maker, any help here much appreciated.

Well looks like modern Palissy ware

Looking at the base signature may well be hobby or possibly student?

Signed VAM ‘10. I don’t think it’s meant to be a copy of Palissey ware; just a 2010 potter who likes frogs

Thank you for the feedback folks :-)
I thought Palissy ware was much earlier than this. I have seen a few pieces of Palissy, Portuguese... down the years, but always steered clear, not my cup of tea. This is much more welcoming, for me at least, than a plate full of snakes & crabs.
I admire it, not least because of the gravity defying structure, but also the work looks quite intricate to my eyes and the glaze is far better than it looks in my sorry pictures.
Thanks again peeps.

Andrew and Clare McGarva have a similar mark but I’m not finding a similar piece by them
