Please Help ID: Looks Italian or W. German Tall Chrome Atomic Red Vase
Hello,
I’m looking for some help identifying this vase. I’ve found something similar on Live Auctioneers (in price results) listed as “1960’s West German Pottery” but it offers no additional information in regard to artist/maker. Additionally, I have posted this on another thread and was directed towards MCM West German or Italian pottery and Poole Pottery. It’s just under 10” tall, looks like terracotta, and has a very bold chrome or atomic red glaze with abstract “drip” flower decoration. There is smeared writing on the bottom, it looks like two words and the first two or last two letters (depending how you look at it) appear to read WO or OM. Thank you very kindly for your input. -Liv

Is there an impressed word around the bottom half of the base?

It's really odd, it kinda looks like it in the photo. I grabbed it to double check and have it in my hand right now. I looked using numerous light sources and touched the bottom and I'm not finding anything. The more I look, I feel like the colors and shape are similar to Scheurich, but I cant find anything made by them that is signed like this.

Scheurich crossed my mind too, or Ruscha. I think this red glaze is more common in Spain and Scandinavia, but it might be a specific import for the USA; European manufacturers sent brighter coloured glazed pieces over there, which we didn't see in the UK.
