I heard about the artist via one of the previous owners 

“Painting is by Ian Millard and was painted in 1984 and is of a life model called Burt. 
 Ian's recent work is still painterly and gorgeously coloured - and he is alive and well, and living in the West Country.”

I'm the painter who painted this in 1984 while I was at Art School in St.Albans.  The painting went to a friend's parents who mislaid it after a house clearnace. I'm glad someone rescued it - hopefully it has gone to a new home and took the time to post here about me.  I've been painting on and off ever since.  I'm currently working on a new series and will post a link in due course.  Thanks again to the person who posted this here
