Lawleys Norfolk Pottery Stoke. Unusual Deco Coffee set. Help appreciated
Hello, New here today. Hope this works, Have had this set since the 70s, bought as 20s vintage I think. Most pieces marked Lawleys Norfolk Pottery Stoke plus an F
One saucer only overmarked with "JADE" Parker Bros, Longton, Staffs. Having searched Lawleys, most images show more traditional, floral patterns. Nothing like this shape or bold Clarice Cliff type design.
Any ideas re it's background much appreciated

Perhaps it is a reference to "Lawley's of Regent Street"... https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Lawley_Group
I've not heard of Parker Brothers, unless you mean Barker Brothers? They were known for Clarice Cliff style pottery and even had a backstamp very similar to the the Clarice Cliff Bizarre mark.

Marks shown herewith. Cups have no markings. 2 saucers are marked just Lawleys and other two over stamped with what I think is Parkers. Can't make out diagonal word. something ware. Looking at the zoomed in images I think you are right re Barkers not Parkers.. Sugar bowl and jug marked just Lawleys Norfolk Pottery Stoke with a red dot
Do you feel it has any value ? Good condition apart from a small old chip on sugar bowl and a newer tiny chip on milk jug spout

The (blank) set is Barker bros Tudorware range "Jade". This mark was used from 1937.
This blank set would have been sent by Lawleys, who were retailers, to Norfolk
pottery (Not referenced in Goddens, unless it was Royal Norfolk) to be decorated
to their own design, and then overstamped, in the same way that Grays did.

Great info thanks. Still not finding any images of much with same or similar pattern. Just a couple of plates. Do you think it's quite rare ? Possibly John Guildford ? Would like to sell it on. I'm on a mission to reduce my eclectic possessions. Not in great health and don't want them be someone elses headache. See Grindleys mentioned in Barkers history. My sister, now 80 and living in Australia since late 60s was a lab technician at Grindleys late 50s. She used to take me there when she was working late or at weekends. Found it fascinating. Funny old world

Does anyone have a feel for the value, or best method of selling it on. Many thanks

we don't do valuations as it would draw in too many requests but ebay is a good way to sell and value items, just check completed listings to get an idea of market value

Thanks for that. It just seems to be pretty unique. Can't find anything similar. But I will give ebay a go at some point. Thanks again. The site has been great at my first excursion. Got info I would never have found. Really interesting, knowledgeable people

The pattern being rare and the marks too will have little bearing on the price. With these types of wares being out of fashion it would have been worth more 30 or 40 years ago and so don't build your hopes up too much that it will make a good price.
