Oil Painting with monogram

Dear all
Recently bought this painting.would live to know who the artist is. There is a monogram bottom left. Also what sort of period this would be? Thank you in advance.

I’d say 1930s-50s, although half the info for judging the date would be the frame and back of the picture; the other half in the style of clothes and painting style. I’m afraid I can’t make out any signature or monogram. The mouth is wrong and the head shape is too elongated to be by a professional, imo, unless they were part of one of the Expressionist groups.
