Anthony (Tony) Swanson, A.S. Hayle, Cornwall

Hi to all again. Picked up this lovely lizard or gecko from local charity shop. Black stamp on the base A.S. Hayle Cornwall, could this be just a retail name outlet for Foster's or Kernewek potteries. Date: My guess 1970s - 1980s. Done some research on Hayle for this name with no luck. Anyone on here from or use to live in Hayle who might know name and shop, Thanks.

Solved! Peter & Anthony(Tony) Swanson Pottery Cornwall Hayle Circa 1980s early 1990s.

I’ve seen a lot of seals by Peter Swanson but not a lizard before. Usually unmarked or with a sticky label

Anthony Swanson pottery before it became Alicium pottery, Steppy Downs Road, St Erth Hayle. He has been potting for 30 years, so he would have started his pottery around 1989 there about. Never seen these marks before. I have had a message from his daughter on the Hayle Facebook page earlier, she has given me his details, so hope to find out a little more about this piece. Just looking into this and it's still a mystery. There are some of Peter Swanson's animal figures dated (1980s) before Tony Swanson set up in Hayle. Is it possible Peter Swanson is Tony's father? Still not clear if it's the same Peter Swanson who pots at Rosudgeon Pottery - no mention of slipmolded animals in the Marks book.
Tony Swanson set up the pottery with his family, but because of the dates it's unlikely that Peter is his son.
