Merkelbach & Wick Empty Merkelbach & Wick

I am sadly emptying my parents home of things no family want. I have come across their large MERKELBACH & WICK jug, but know nothing of its value or indeed its age. I recall it to be old.
Is anybody please able to furnish me with any information on it? Standing approx 12” tall and very heavy.

It's a nice item. The modelling on that face is first class.
