8” long, ridged sides, unmarked ( so frustrating)

I think you’re right. I thought it would be Denby or something! But there’s similar shape ikebana vases online. Thanks.

Just noticed; does it have a hole through the base? Japanese Bonsai planter?

Not Denby. Aren't bonsai planters usually symetrical and maybe have
a larger drain-hole? usually a more colouful glaze also, but I guess some
sort of planter or pot-holder....
