'S' Makers Mark - Any Ideas? Empty 'S' Makers Mark - Any Ideas?

Dark brown vase with tree-like pattern inscribed into surface - slipware I think?  On the base it has what appears to be an initial "S" inscribed into clay. Approx. 22cm in height.  Thanks guys.  Happy
