Vintage studio Pottery or Chinese Mark - Help please.
Hi Everyone.
I am new here and am delighted to have found this forum.
My wife buys "Chinese" ceramics and pottery (she's no expert). She recently acquired a nice blue and white bowl that looks oriental but on close inspection, to me, the marks looks wrong for oriental pottery?.
She is convinced its Chinese but to me it looks like a piece of Vintage studio pottery.
The mark is pressed and clear ish but I have no idea how to ID it.
So if anyone one of you experts can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Either my wife or me will be buying the other a bottle depending on who is right!
The bowl is 10 Inches in Diameter
Thank you
Michael

Certainly western Studio ware rather than Chinese. The mark May be upsidedown - possibly ‘ry’. Would help to have a photo of the whole base to check construction technique

Also possible the mark is sideways. Looks a bit like Ursula Mommens’ mark

A photo of the whole base shows us how the pot was made. The mark is only part of an ID

I'm 99.99% sure looking at the marks, the base and the decoration this is by Ursula Mommens and after checking further examples now 100% sure...
