ID HELP-Signed Piece of Sgraffito Pottery
I've got this really colorful piece of sgraffito pottery that I need help with deciphering the signature. I have tried and tried but I cannot get past the first 2 letters which I believe are BE. Wondering if anyone recognizes the signature or is able to make out the letters? I've been staring at it way too long and the letters are starting to blur together. Thanks for your time.

It reminds me of the work of Jo Lester of Isle of Wight fame, and his acolytes. On a larger scale of course.

Looks foreign to me ... maybe French (one of those crazy Vallauris potters perhaps?) ... or further south!

Maybe a timely reminder to members not to just assume the owner is based in the U.K., but to double check the location under their avatar photo

I do not really see why the onus should be on us to check the country of origin of every single poster. Rather it should ne on the poster to say where the piece was bought. After all, this is a site of UK origin which is overwhelmingly concentrated on UK pottery .

Re: ID HELP-Signed Piece of Sgraffito Pottery
My apologies for not stating my country of origin. I didn't realize that this site was primarily concentrated on UK pottery. All the categories for glass, art and non UK pottery really threw me off. The piece of pottery was purchased in the US but was not made here. I know American pottery and this piece is not American. I believe it is European but not sure of the country or it's maker. That's why I decided to use this site.Thinking it was more global in it's members and knowledge base. I guess I'll try elsewhere. Thank you again for your time.
