Hi i cant define the mark but i bought a collection that included the work of a potter that reminded me of some early st ives pieces in my collection especially the dolomite glazed ones... has anyone any ideas...?

Nice piece. But I don't think the decoration -is that a fish?- is much like that of Bill Marshall. Not to say that it is not Leach St Ives inspired, it does that slight look about it. But then way back then, whole generations of potters were inspired by Leach St Ives.
