Slipware or agateware, Face mark on handle - heavy jug
Two items came together, this one is a heavy jug, no mark, but well made.

Inside was a receipt from 1993 saying Keith Richardson & Dicker Pottery - but it doesn’t look quite right for either of those.
Hobby pot? Studio pot? Looks too perfect to be antique - not a chip on it.

Do you mean 1893? Dicker Pottery seems to have run from 1843-1957. http://www.studiopottery.com/cgi-bin/mp.cgi?item=55
The decoration is known as "agate ware".

Not a perfect match, but interesting to compare with these two probable Warminster pieces:

Thank you. Seems like there were a few places making agateware. I think maybe the receipt saying Dicker Pottery was wrong.

I'd always understood Agate ware to mean different coloured clays within the body.
This seems to be be slipware, however the end result can look similar.

Ok, that sounds possible - I’ll take another look.

There are numerous firing flaws and it's pitted, which seem to be filled with dirt. Normally i'd expect to see that on antique pottery. So i think this looks much older than those shown in the link, although i could be wrong.
