Studio produced Cake Stand .mp

This lovely piece came to light recently in a trip to one of my local charity shops.
The pattern on the plinth is quite distinctive and the mark, an interlinked lower case m and p with a dot inside a square border has been stamped on to the base. Maybe the pottery mark, as there is also an embossed B in the clay of the handle retainers.

Its quite big and heavy,24cm in diameter and about the same in height including the bamboo handle.

Is it possible NP. - Nantwich Pottery (Peter Clough)?

I've come across the mark several times, but still not IDed it. The style looks 1970s. It might be Irish, and it's similar to Molly Perry's mark but hers is a different font and without a dot. I also considered Mandy Parslow, but not managed to verify any of them, but I've not seen it associated with the B mark before so that may help.
