Royal Doulton Kingsware Style vase ID
Hi All
I bought this unusual vase recently,it was advertised as 'Art Deco Embossed Vase'.It looks exactly like Doulton Kingsware however it is not signed to the base.It is marked to the lower body, 'Alfred Jingle' (like Dickens series ware) and what looks like 'W Whin'.I wondered if it could be a repro however I feel it has real age to it with age related wear marks and faint crazing that doesn't show in photos etc.Has anyone seen it's like before? The colours are an exact match for Kingsware. The vase is large at 340 mm in height. Thanks for any assistance you could give.

In my dim and distant past I seem to recall coming across a couple of pieces similar to Kingsware, I think they may have been Austrian? Unfortunately the grey matter is not what it was
Wade did the Mccallum character jug but I am not sure if they did any others

Hi
Yes I think I know the ones you mean. Also there were some Dutch ones I think. The colours on this are near identical to kingsware. It has that Art Nouveau shape like the Austrian types you mention

I wonder if it could be unmarked Weller Pottery Dickens Ware or a prototype of some kind?
