Andre Loret, Sidmouth Pottery, Devon
Does anyone recognise the maker of these?
One of these Bulls was sold on ebay a few months ago - the seller said he'd been told it was by John Hughes (World of Groggs).
The sig does look like it 'could be', but I've contacted them and they say it is not by Groggs or John.
I discovered these did seller last year with a larger horse figure as well (sadly I don't have that).
The cow seems to be entirely slip cast. The bulls body is slip cast, but the tail, horns (and 3 coils holding on the horns), seem to be added afterwards by hand.
The cow is 10inch long by 6inch high, Bull is 14inch long by 9inch tall (to top of tail).
They look a little bit like Carn, but I'm pretty sure they are not.
The Bull has a signature, the cow is unmarked but seems to be clearly the same maker.
Probably Cornish, but who? any help appreciated on these fantastic beasts.

Andre Loret style pirate mug with entwined monogram impressed
Hi
Does anyone know this mark as the mug is very akin to Andre Loret's work but all the examples I could find have impressed words on the base.

Studio Pottery head - Andre Loret
Hi all
I was lucky enough to buy part of a collection yesterday. This head was amongst the items I picked up. It is signed but I can't read it. So any tips of insights would be very welcome.
Sorry for the picture angles. Only just got windows 10 and they are the right way up there, just not here.
Thanks

Re: Andre Loret, Sidmouth Pottery, Devon
I think it's safe to say it's by Andre Loret even though it doesn't have his usual mark -

Seems he was based in Sidmouth, Devon, so the Sidmouth Pottery, made in a similar style, could be by his pottery too

I've got one of these stamped with the name of the pottery's owner, André Loret.

Ram, Sheep, signed A Loret
I’ve not seen one of these before.
It’s slip cast except, I think, for some spaghetti hair on it’s head.

Re: Andre Loret, Sidmouth Pottery, Devon
Your thoughts are correct.
Very nice and an amazingly good price, if that is for the set.

Re: Andre Loret, Sidmouth Pottery, Devon
I believe it was for the whole set; none were priced individually. I didn’t check for damage. The coffee pot was a nice shape. Not the sort of thing I collect these days

Yeh, I also thought that was an interesting shape. Like several cups stacked on top of each other.
