Good afternoon all.

We would like some help identifying the potter of this small glazed studio pottery bowl please. It measures six inches across, has a rough to the touch drip glaze around the rim and an impressed potter's mark to the base. Thank you.studio bowl with impressed Y mark to base - maybe Bill Moore Img_5812

Great bowl. I think it's by Bill Moore. the style matches, although the mark is not an exact match to the example in the book. Maybe best to contact him to verify one way or the other.

Oh thanks so much Naomi - and glad you like it! Here's a slightly better picture of the impressed mark. We'll contact Bill at Bristol.studio bowl with impressed Y mark to base - maybe Bill Moore Img_5813

It looks far more like Bill Moore's mark in the second photo. Helps to post cropped photos of a mark to avoid distortion and burryness.
