Help Needed to Identify Dripware Comport Empty Help Needed to Identify Dripware Comport

Hello, I'm hoping someone might be able to help identify the maker of this unusual dripware comport. it looks to be from about the 1930s. It has a semi matte glaze. There is a very faint and blurred mark to the bottom, but I can't make it out - think the last line says 'Made in England'. It stands 5.5" tall by 10" across. Any help gratefully received. Thanks

It looks to be in italic script.
This might rule out the obvious Shorter/Clews/Empire.
Nice thing anyway.

Hi, yes I did consider Shorter & Clews but couldn't make the backstamp fit. I'll keep on looking. Thanks
