Adam Buick

Back in 2008 before he was widely known, I featured a significant number of Moon Jars of various sizes by the Welsh potter, Adam Buick in my Harlequin Gallery pre-Christmas exhibition.

As you are probably aware Adam has continued to experiment with the Moon Jar form, with which he became fascinated after seeing one of the jars that Bernard Leach had brought back to this country from Korea.

Here is a small example: -

This was a 30 cm Adam Buick Moon Jar for sale at the Bluecoat Centre in Liverpool earlier this year. The price was £2000

The boy's done well for himself but, in my view, deserved it more than some I won't mention.

These were on a smaller sale in Contemporary Ceramics in 2017.
