I know that Mike at Miar gets his pots directly from Pascal and you are correct that it is slightly different and will be his current mark.

This belongs to one of my collectors, who thought that he had bought it from me and wanted me to identify it. He hadn't I don't know who might have made it and so would welcome any thoughts.

You could be correct, Naomi. The mark doesn't appear correct when compared with the one that I known but he might have played around with marks.

I had forgotten that Mike (Miar Arts) sold his work but what I did last night was go through my old books and found that I had bought two small yunomis by him on 18th August 2008 and sold them the following month.

From the price I paid in my books, it must have been in Euros and bought while on holiday.

Therefore, it did come from me but it was 13 years ago, so I ought to be excused not remembering.

Hello - I think this a long shot but I wonder if you could give me a clue about a small pot I bought recently in an auction.  It is 10 cms tall and 6.5 cms diameter and weighs 285 gms.  The patterns and glaze are really interesting, and it looks a bit Japanese.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Lamorna used those colours - is it white clay, very light?

Many thanks for your responses. Regarding the weight, it seems heavier than other pots I have of the same size and I wouldn’t know the difference between clays, I’m afraid. It certainly has all the colours of Pascal Geoffroy. I think half the pleasure of buying studio pottery is finding out what the pieces are, although some will always be a mystery. Unfortunately I have to sell some to finance the ones I keep, but I am hooked.
