Now that is nice! Made by a skilled potter. But stylistically it is not a show out piece.Looks to have some bit of age. Maybe 70's?

It must have sat in some kind of stand, or?

I kinda know what you mean philp, but i looked at it again and i thought at the right angle it is pretty showy, i love the geometry - i tried it with a stand but it lost so much aesthetic of the form that i dont like it with one... i've a few pots and there is something about this one that i think the potter just absolutely nailed it, it may be my photographic skills haven't quite captured it right...
perhaps that's a better angle. :)

I don't think I expressed myself very well there! By stylistically, I meant in terms of identification. As a piece its lovely. But as to who made it?

I agree with philpot that it has some age and, if it is from the 1970s, which is likely then it could be meant to be hung in a macrame type harness, singly or with others of different sizes.

Hi
Just a thought
very similar shape bowl to Robin Welch ?
but looks like part of the foot of the bowl is missing
But either way stunning :)

Sorry, but I do not think it is Robin Welch. Just completely different actual glazing. Robin Welch did indeed make some narrow based bowls, but they were all very balanced.

Probably just a coincidence, and doesn’t have her bright colours, but Gill Bramley also makes pots with narrow bases
