1961 plate from ARENA SERIES
A wall plate with an illustration by Hans Bendix from the ARENA series. It seems this series produced a plate every two years. Does anyone know what the occasion for the series was about?

Four seasons/four side vase...C.S.F.
A vase with an intricate all over decoration illustrating the four seasons on its four sides. The markings on the base are rather mysterious to me..are C.S.F. the designer initials or something totally different, is 1.4.1963 a special date or something else? Any pearls of wisdom or enlightenment would be much appreciated.

Nymolle plate by Ib Spang Olsen
Just acquired this lovely plate. It's designed by the illustrator and author Ib Spang Olsen for Nymolle, but I can't find out how old it is. It has the number 2051.460 on the back – any experts on Nymolle here? I'm guessing 60s/70s because of the stylistic similarity to other Scandinavian designs of the period (Winblad for example). Can't find much info on Olsen's work for Nymolle though.

Yes. I've been admiring it for about three hours now. Brilliant thing. Not sure what that animal is meant to be though...some kind of cyclops moon moose, probably.

That was my feeling too. Maybe a set of six with a round one, or a bowl, in the middle.

Re: Nymolle (Denmark)
I bought a nice Nymolle vase today and wonder if anyone has an idea of approx. value. I know it is a Gunnar Nylund piece but other than that it is a name that I know nothing about - it has a definite air of class and quality about it. 7.5" high. I might keep it for a while or might take it to P'boro festival of antiques.

Re: Nymolle (Denmark)
PP - We don't do values in the forum. It's in the rules. I have a few GN pieces but it's a specialist area. You could try a PM to a member ... Kevin H (see above on this page) may be able to point you in the right direction. He posted some lovely items and seemed very knowledgeable.
Re: Nymolle (Denmark)
I was being a little bit cheeky but the few values I had found seemed high and I was hoping someone might be able to offer a value that seemed far more down to earth. More interested in how common these pieces are. Most important is that its a 'very nice pot'.

Re: Nymolle (Denmark)
I check sold items on eBay but if it’s a rare piece then it can take several months to get enough sales to give a ballpark figure.

I haven't seen this colour and size on ebay before so it may take a few years

Re: Nymolle (Denmark)
Colour is much more like 'teal' i.e. much greener. I might take it on my travels and see what response it gets.
