Not a mark I’ve come across before. I wonder if it’s an early piece by Lostwithiel Pottery

Hi Naomi
I can see the similarity in body and slip work but the similarity stops there.
You probably know there were/are a fair number of potteries turning out red body yellow glazed slipware
Their markings show no resemblance to my pot and that's why i posted here.
I have to say, I am surprised that nobody has even commented on this other than you. Does the site have many members and do items like this actually come up as new posts?
I haven't had any notifications of other peoples posts is that something to do with my settings?
You know with social media for example, every time a new post comes in you get a notification. this encourages you to view and then comment or delete.
Ive got a feeling Ive done something wrong here as I'm seeing nothing either about my piece or about other peoples posts.
regards
Jonny

Hi Jonny,
I saw your pot no problem but didn’t have any ID in mind. Nice jug though.

I've seen a couple of similar pots, dark red clay and slip lizards and chameleons, and they were both Australian with circular inked stamps underneath. Can't remember specific makers, sorry.
