It's a Tall Vase, MB mark
I might have put this here before but, if I did it wasn't identified.
It's been part of the "furniture" since being bought at a Boot Fair back in the last decade of the 20th century. It cost me an "ill cephalopod" i.e sick squid.
It's a stoneware vase and is 63.5 cm tall, which is 25 inches in "old money".

I often want to say that about many pieces listed on here, including ones that are made by known potters, but tend to shy away.
Therefore I suppose I should applaud you.

I didn't say it was bad-tho I do agree with you about many of the pieces we see on here.
Its just not to a some people's taste. Being that tall, with a chilly starkness about it I suspect a lot of people would find it difficult to relate to
Its an intereresting piece, well executed. I know for one my wife would not give it houseroon tho!

If we did the foxes would keep knocking it over.

South London foxes indeed. My daughter used to live in Lewisham with a terraced house with a long back garden. It was really quite eerie listening to the fox calls at night. They are incredibly brazen as well, often wandering around during the day.

That's correct. At the moment there is only one that passes through our garden but where I am sitting at my computer I often see them sunbathing or sitting on a couple of garden sheds opposite.
