pottery vase, possibly German
I found this vase in my grandmas loft.
It has some numbers on the bottom and a circle and an A letter, but I’m struggling to identify these or what they may mean..
my mother in law is a potter and has checked it over and thinks it’s a hand-thrown piece with sgraffito design ? !
Any feedback at all appreciated, thank you.

Those numbers on the bottom would suggest that it is West German pottery made in large quantities in the 50's,60's and 70's. Often known as Fat Lava. As to who the factory maker, that is more difficult, as they produced a wide variety of styles.

Production made so there will be others out there with the same pattern numbers. They can often be found in a google search
