Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
Dan / Wendy - Spoke to a dealer and he flashed a list of names at me with perhaps x20 marks - He had spoken to Joyce and she had given him the info on decorators monograms.
I gave him my card - hopefully he will feel like sharing sometime in the future.

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
If it is the one who has been selling the models ?Neville?Nigel? Pundole? his list is less extensive than mine

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
Dunno - He had a stall with perhaps x20 plates, mostly flowers. I bough a judge dish from him (Sorry Wendy Don't understand your questions Models? Pundole? What is Pundole What Models?)
Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
There is a Chelsea dealer (he mainly deals in Chelsea models) called Neville Pundole - the question marks were because I couldn't accurately recall his name but have just looked and Neville Pundole it was. His gallery is in Folkestone so I doubt it is the same bloke. I have 33 Chelsea names so far but would be interested if he had any I don't.

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
Ohh - Understood - No he only had a small stall with x20 flower plates. He had a long list of names but It looked like Joyce had marked the Monograms against x20 of them.
Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
why not compare lists and cross reference with the forum list

possibly Christina Shepherd ?
Hi all
Picked this up in a charity shop yesterday for the grand sum of £3. Pretty sure it is Chelsea but it is not signed on the back. It's 22 cm across and I think we have a tiny monogram on the front but no idea who the artist is. I have seen similar with a Chelsea mark but no idea if those got copied?. If it is Chelsea be nice to know what period it comes from, it's age.
Thanks

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
Reminds me of that Big eyes movie about that American artist, it was based in the 1950's-1960's and this does have that flowers in her hair vibe. Be good to have that confirmed though.

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
It might be Christina Shepherd if it is CS. It definitely isn't SC Sam Corrigan, too early for her work

Can't say I've seen a tepot before, Signature is not clear, something B?
Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
Dish, about 16cm across, painted with iris flower. Extremely vague signature.

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
I'm in the middle of a massive tidy up so it's only a quick phone photo. Bubble-wrap, boxes and newspaper everywhere.
Three of these are older with the paper label and the dandy looking one is later with stick on round label - All JEM all approx 170mm dia

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
A wierd dish with a horse. It seems to have been over-fired, with glaze-runs and
pock-marks, so any signature is not visible.

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
the base is unusual for a Chelsea figure as is the clay colour

Re: Chelsea Pottery (London)
It's slip-cast black-dipped and hand-painted white bits.
There may be modelling on the head. So long since I saw one,
to compare, but they did have stickers as I remember.
Never heard of anyone else making them, but If you don't think it's right......
