Two Inger Waage bowls just bought - Love this designer and have a small collection now - varying backstamps - I see the value has risen steadily, time was they were cheap now some bowls are near the hundered mark.

I found a Stavangerflint hanging plate in a second-hand shop today ($3). The imagery is of Samis (although, I would have called them Laplanders). If anyone can provide a time-frame or an artist, I'd love to hear it.

Yes IW is the usual mark for Inger Waage - this is her work, it's in the book I have. I do have so some pieces marked with her full name - I'm away from home right now but I think that's an earlier mark.

Yes it is and Inger Waage was born in the town of Stavanger in 1923.
She studied ceramics in Oslo for 3 years and in 1946 returned to Stavanger to start her own workshop. In 1953 she became the head of a newly established department for handicraft production at Stavangerflint AS and remain with the company until 1979.
She died in 1995.
