Mid Century Modern Vase with Hexagon mark

I have had this vase for a bit. I originally thought that the mark was Asian when viewing without my glasses. The mark is impressed into the bottom of the vase in a hexagon. When examining it close with a magnifier it appears to be stylized Roman alphabet. I am not sure which way to orient this mark, no pun intended. I just cannot tell. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Although the stoneware body doesn't look Oriental, it does look like a stylised Oriental seal.

The style of the bottle vase doesn't fit in with any specific area of Japan or China that I am aware of and my thoughts are leaning to it been perhaps a Japanese potter working in the States. Alternatively, it could be have been made in a factory situation in Japan for export to the West.

Thank you for your observations, they are truly appreciated. When I rotated the image at 1/4 turns I was "seeing" stylized Roman Alphabet and not an Asian mark. It is not a clear mark and I appreciate the reply.

Individually they do look like stylised Roman figures but to me (I have been dealing in Japanese studio ceramics for over 15 years) they are certainly stylised oriental figures.
