Beautifully thrown and decorated with a truly artistic expression.
Stoneware body with iron spots in the glaze and marked MW interlocked vertically.

I’ve seen similar incised MW marks on auction house listings attributed to William Marshall, sometimes with a date, but you’d need a Collector of his work to verify it or not. There’s some doubt as to whether the incised marks are his, but I include two examples below. Tbh, they dont look to be in the same hand as yours. The decoration is very accomplished.

I don't think its Bill Marshall. His mark is always consistent on every piece I have seen. Equally the decoration is a little too generic and stilted. Nowadays there are very few auction houses I would trust on a signature anything out of the ordinary.

I've not seen decoration this good in a long while. Although the vase itself is a bit of a lump

I agree with Naomi about the decoration but I would say if you held it and felt it you would realise how evenly thrown it is and how perfectly weighted.
