Help ID USA artist, large stoneware charger signed LE 87

Hi, I'm looking for assistance identifying the artist who produced this stoneware charger. It is a large (18" diameter) heavy (over 7 lbs.) portrait of a woman holding flowers.  It is signed on both the front and back LE with an 87 beneath it.  I am assuming the 87 is the year of production.  I've had it for a couple years and have searched all over on the web to no avail.  Any information at all would be appreciated.  Thanks.
