I found a mark, which is similar, by a company called "Wolff at Warsaw". I have my doubts and I can't find much information other than the mark.
Here's the site. I'd rather actual scans of the marks over hand drawn images, but better than nothing.

Yes I saw that one Rob - the W might be the same, but this mark seems to say "***awel " underneath the W. I had the feeling the Wolff was an antique maker (although I can't find out anything about them either).
I can't think of the modern maker with that "wel" ending to their name either. In fact I am not doing very well...

Okey dokey, found...Wawel of Poland - was Krister, Waldenberg, until all the countries moved about.
